On the 7th-8th of March 2014 in the church "The Light of Gospel" in Kyzyl was held a seminar. The theme of the seminar was "Family and marriage with the eyes of God". Our brothers and sisters from the church in Ak-Dovurak had also joined to the seminar. Victor Zagvozdkin, Ayas Oorzhak, Artem Khertek and Huler Chuldum were the speakers. We try to delegate and to involve Tuvinians brothers in serving, because the churches population mainly consists of Tuvinians.
We thank everyone who participated in preparation and conducting the spring session in Rivne Bible College. Taking into consideration the difficult political situation in the country and after a lot of prayer and consultations, we have still decided to conduct the session and the Lord has blessed this decision. The theme of the spring session was "Pastoral Ministry". We have invited Sergey Timofeev - pastor of the church in Dneprodzerzhynsk as a teacher. Students said, he’d coped brilliantly with his tasks. Students studied the Word of God together searching the Biblical foundations of the Church and pastoral ministry with an emphasis on the personality and the role of the pastor to pay attention to the principles and practice of various aspects of pastoral ministry.
The Amgu village is situated in Terneisky area, it’s about 200 km to the north of Terney. There’s a dirt winding road withmany neks and one-way traffic in some places. In 2013, the population of the villagewas 788 people.
On the 7th of March in 2014 at the gale of 31 m/s the fire element played out, and nobody could deal with it. Fire passed from roof to roof . At least three houses burned down in the first half of an hour. Nothing had left except chimneys and remnants of foundations on on the spot of conflagration. Chimneys and ashes diluted withremains of trees, reminded the photos ofBelarusian villages burnt by fascists. Even outbuildings hadn’t preserved, only in some places you could see the charred skeleton of a cars or a heap of iron barrels. The cause of fire could be an improperoperation of stove heating in one of the houses.
Though Tuesday (March 4), did not graced us with sunshine and warmth of spring, but it still was a blessing from God. Most of the employees of NGO "Hope to people" and the group of youth from the church "Community of the Good Shepherd" (Rivne) spent a good time working in the camp base in Zalesye. We were instructed with the cultural “mission” to clean the territory and to prepare for harvesting birch sap. We also enjoyed the time simply communicating during the dinner.
One more time we talk about the Bible, its authority and power, about its relevance and powerful impact.
We believe that it will not be useless at this crucial moment for our country, even though it was said and written a lot about the Bible as well in our magazine.
Through the Bible we understand and receive the knowledge of Him who despite wars, conflicts and revolutions did not leave His throne and lead through the darkness to the light, through sorrow and grief - to joy, through the abyss of evil - to a big and invincible glory of good.
The Bible is striking in its beauty, unearthly wisdom and historical accuracy. It captures the depth and practicality of the gospel of redemption and reconciliation with the eternal God. Since, it is the most important question in human life.
By the grace of God and thanks to the organizational support of the Mission "Hope - the people" the winter camp of the church "Community of the Good Shepherd" in Rivne was conducted. It was held in Zalesye.
Preparations for the camp, worries, prayer and excitement - all this is behind, and we appreciate the Lord and praise Him for it.
The camp was small, up to 15 people, but the atmosphere was very warm. Together with the youth of our church we had the opportunity to spend time studying the Book of the prophet Nehemiah. We examined the question of obedience to God in difficult political, economic and spiritual situations. Concerning the events in our country, we’d revealed the need for good biblical orientation for our youth, and therefore we chose this theme to explore.
