Blessed seminar

During last week, through ministry of SBP “Word of Grace”, the seminar “Gospel in the life of minister” took place in Brest with the participation of Aleksej Kolomijtsev. About 60 brothers, students, preachers, and ministers were enjoying filling up with Gospel of Jesus Christ for two days.

At the beginning, lector was talking about issues of near Gospel Christianity using Bible passage 1^st Cor.1. After that, based on life of Jesus Christ and the Apostle’s teaching, he explained the Gospel and its influence on daily Christian life, especially on life of Ministers at Christ’s Church.

Art exhibition in Sarny

This spring, God gave our church a great opportunity to share Gospel through art exhibition “World masterpieces about the Savior” with the residents of our town. First time, brother Artem from church “Communion of Good Shepherd” showed the exhibition for us right after Easter celebration in the church yard. We got really excited about this great opportunity to clearly and simply share Gospel by describing pictures, so we decided to show it in town center the same evening. After listening Artem for several times, we started showing it to people ourselves. People were listening in groups and alone. There were people whom we know (town is small and people know each other).

The new issue number 2/2013

The issue of magazine “Word to the Teacher” on topic “Live and learn in my family”, as usual, offers teaching materials, which are prepared based on Biblical principles and examples.

You will find here articles on topics: how to earn and loose parental authority, what teenagers expect from their parents, can the cartoon replace fairy tale told by mom, and who teaches our children bad language.

We also offer discussion about local church as spiritual home for the visitors, stories about active life of famous characters from Old and New Testament – the leader of Israel Moses and Ukrainian metropolitan Illarion, and lessons on family topic and scenario for Spring birthday celebration. «Miracles» in Kalmikija

(interview with missionary Yevgenij Begletsov)

What is happening in Kalmikija, particularly, in your church?

We did not have a massive awakening in the republic, nobody was raised from the dead, and nobody was healed in an unusual way. However, the great miracle is that God is with us. He speaks to us through His Word and changes us from the inside through the Holy Spirit. He blessed the church to live past winter in warmth and comfort; we don’t have any debts before the government. This is the fact regardless of the small amount of people in the church. We were able not only to support ourselves, but also invest in the development of the ministry. Brothers and sisters grow spiritually, they are willing to participate in church life, and this is a miracle. One can see how great our God is!

Ministry of American dentists in Ukraine

In April of 2013, eleven American brothers and sisters from three different states (Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas) came to Ukraine with a noble mission – to provide medical help to orphans and children from complicated families. They worked in Oleksandria for four days. During this time, they diagnosed, consulted, and provided dentist treatment for about 200 children from orphanage and foster home.  

Local medical workers have seen high professionalism, good organization, and self sacrifice of their foreign colleagues. Children were thankful for attention, friendliness, and patience. Those who were afraid, were calmed down, and shown and explained the equipment purposes. After treatment, children received recommendations regarding medicine and meals. When the team had spare time, they played with younger children, and gifted toothpaste, toothbrushes, and pretty Bible bookmarks, which were prepared by Memphis Sunday school, to everyone.
